Evidence-Based Treatment Options Article Count: 1
Since 2010, Dynamic Interventions has been offering trauma-informed community and family-based mental health services, utilizing a widely accepted evidence-based treatment model Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT). This model was developed by Dr. Marion Lindblag-Goldberg. The mission oF ESFT is to promote the delivery of strength-based, context-sensitive, developmentally-informed mental health training which builds on and supports the emotionally-sustaining relationships of children, adolescents, adults and their families.
ESFT dictates that the therapist “joins” with the family to identify and understand the invisible rules that govern their interactions. The goal of ESFT is to prevent negative interactions and promote healthy family growth. One way this is accomplished is by re-establishing the family hierarchy or shifting the parental power back to the parents. Another is working within normal family interactions to improve relationships between all family members. The family changes how they interact with each other and solve problems, which ultimately leads to healthier daily interactions and family functioning.
Dynamic Interventions believes that families are the expert on themselves. We actively listen to help you see why your family may be struggling. Then, our professionals partner with you, in your natural environments, to improve family decisions and relationships.
Other models directly utilized within this model are Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Brief Therapy and many of these listed below.
